The trail hugs the the rim of Good Water Canyon and follows all its little side drainages presenting the rider with great views again and again. It is a great cross-country ride, however closer to the end, when amazement wears out, the lack of challenges makes it a bit monotonous.
Devil’s Racetrack is located North of Interstate 70 in San Rafael Swell, Utah about 30 miles West from town of Green River. Riding from highway to where the trail is about to turn into sandy hell and back is about 14 miles total. The ride is out and back with return surprisingly more fun than anticipated.
Turkey Flats Trail is located 20 miles South-West from Grand Junction in Grand Mesa National Forest. Together with the other sections it makes a lollipop: out-and-back trail with two loops in the middle. The ride can be considered as beginner technical level with several intermediate sections and intermediate aerobic difficulty.
Sovereign Trail is typical for Moab surroundings mix of single track, slick rock and Jeep roads. Most of the ride is on purposely built well defined single track. Good intermediate ride. There are some rock moves, small launches, short steep climb sections, but nothing big and unavoidable.
