17 volunteers built 3/4 miles of amazing trail along the rim of the Grand Mesa through Black Timber, Aspen Stands, Flower Filled Meadows with views of Delta County Valley, West Elk Mountains and San Juan Mountains.

The trail hugs the the rim of Good Water Canyon and follows all its little side drainages presenting the rider with great views again and again. It is a great cross-country ride, however closer to the end, when amazement wears out, the lack of challenges makes it a bit monotonous.
The Palisade Rim Trail is now open for bikers and hikers! This weekend more than two dozen trail builders showed up to work on several remaining sections of the singletrack. Thanks to great volunteer turnout and perfect soil condition the work was completed shortly after the lunch break. There is still some work to be done, but the new trail is now ready for recreational traffic.
Warranty handling is where companies lose money but make names. I had a chance to experience Dakine’s Warranty process with a pair of Step-Up Gloves purchased and reviewed earlier this year. Overall my warranty claim with Dakine was a positive experience. There was no unnecessary jumping through hoops or arguing over the fine print.
Devil’s Racetrack is located North of Interstate 70 in San Rafael Swell, Utah about 30 miles West from town of Green River. Riding from highway to where the trail is about to turn into sandy hell and back is about 14 miles total. The ride is out and back with return surprisingly more fun than anticipated.
We’ve added another stretch of single track to spectacular Mesa Top Trail on top of Grand Mesa pushing the total length of the single track past 3 mile mark. Read the event report by our crew leader.
Descente Ridge is well made sharp looking short for all around mountain biking. The stitching is neat and materials are of high quality. The short is available in several conservative colors (black, charcoal and earth) with few graphical accents. Despite the sizing issue it is one of the better ones that I had. The sale price makes it a great deal too.
Over the course of the weekend the volunteer trail builders together with BLM officers made modest but steady progress building highly technical single track near the town of Palisade. The trail promises to be a new signature ride with spectacular views, challenging climbs and exciting technical moves.
Turkey Flats Trail is located 20 miles South-West from Grand Junction in Grand Mesa National Forest. Together with the other sections it makes a lollipop: out-and-back trail with two loops in the middle. The ride can be considered as beginner technical level with several intermediate sections and intermediate aerobic difficulty.
